DJ Raptor - Chris BartosikChris Bartosik, owner of the award-winning DJ and event production company Raptor Productions, has cultivated a lifetime of experience throughout the music industry from a young age. Chris had an active childhood and spent his time pursuing both music and athletics, including soccer, track, and basketball. He grew up in several states across the eastern seaboard, including Virginia, South Carolina, Georgia, Missouri and Alabama.

While attending University of Alabama, Chris got his start in disc jockeying as a DJ at the college radio station, where he eventually hosted his own 80’s-themed radio show called “Reagan Rock”. Since the early 90’s, Chris has worked professionally as a disc jockey, performing for weddings of all shapes and sizes, as well as high school proms, private parties, and corporate events. WeddingWire has named Chris a Couple’s Choice winner for several years running due to his reputation in the wedding industry as a top-notch disc jockey and for consistently receiving top marks from his clients.

When it comes to being a DJ, Chris’ focus has always been on providing a unique, superior experience for every couple and client. His love of music has shone through from an early age, as he learned to play various instruments and performed with student ensembles at numerous venues, including the famous Carnegie Hall. Chris firmly believes that his musical knowledge has helped to shape his work as a disc jockey, treating each opportunity as a performance rather than “just another gig”. His expertise allows him to seamlessly blend multiple tracks and layers into thoughtful musical works, which creates a flow of energy and instantly brightens the atmosphere at any type of event.

Chris is an active member of numerous professional organizations and trade associations, including serving as the President of the Baltimore Area Disc Jockey Association (BADJA). Chris is also a founding member of the United States Disc Jockey Association (USDJA), and is an active member of American Disc Jockey Association (ADJA) and Performing Entertainer and Event Professionals (PEEP). He regularly attends conferences and trade shows, including the DJ Expo, Mobile Beat DJ Conference, and Wedding MBA in order to stay current on new technology and industry trends.
